Wooting Unveils Next-Generation 60HE V2 Gaming Keyboard with True 8KHz Polling

The new 60HE V2 incorporates extensive user feedback along with technological advancements to create what the company calls their most advanced gaming keyboard yet. Most notably, the V2 features True 8KHz polling through its new MCU, capable of scanning each analog key in perfect synchronization when using Tachyon Mode, reducing input latency to just 0.125ms.

"After three years of industry-changing features like Adjustable Actuation and Rapid Trigger, we've completely reinvented our beloved keyboard," a Wooting representative stated.

The 60HE V2 boasts a full aluminum case with improved design and friction-fit mounting system. Attention to sound and feel is evident in several engineering choices, including silicone standoffs to protect the PCB and interchangeable strap pieces on either side of the keyboard.

Wooting has equipped the V2 with their new Lekker Tikken switches, described as "the first closed-bottom switch with 4mm range" that adds a deep, marbly sound profile. These linear switches feature a 40cN starting force, 60cN end force, and are rated for 100 million clicks with an actuation range of 0.1-4.0mm.

Sound customization options abound with the V2's "sound engineering stack" that includes PET film under the switches, an HD Poron sandwich between the PC plate and PCB, an FR4 switch plate, and bottom case dampening with swappable silicone and EPDM foam options.

The 60HE V2 will be available in both regular and split spacebar configurations. Interested customers can sign up for the company's newsletter to receive updates on the official launch date and availability.
