SteelSeries New Sensei Pro and Rival Pro with Ultra-Wideband (UWB)

SteelSeries is celebrating its 25th anniversary by breathing new life into two of the most iconic silhouettes in esports history. With the launch of the Sensei Pro and Rival Pro series, SteelSeries isn’t just updating a classic shape; they are overhauling the wireless infrastructure that powers professional play.

Breaking Through the 2.4GHz Traffic Jam While many manufacturers are chasing "8K polling" as a buzzword, SteelSeries is tackling the hardware limitations that make consistent high-frequency polling difficult. Most wireless mice operate on the crowded 2.4GHz band—the same frequency used by your neighbors' Wi-Fi, routers, and even other peripherals.

To solve this, the new Pro series introduces Ultra-Wideband (UWB) wireless. By operating on a super-fast tier spectrum with roughly 20x the bandwidth of traditional 2.4GHz, UWB provides a cleaner, more stable signal. This allows the Sensei and Rival Pro mice to deliver "True 8K"—a consistent 8,000Hz polling rate that offers near-instant response times and buttery-smooth tracking even in high-intensity environments.

Built for the "Always On" Pro The biggest hurdle to 8K performance has historically been battery life; high polling rates are notorious power-hogs. SteelSeries counters this with their Infinite Power System. Each mouse features hot-swappable dual batteries, allowing players to swap a drained cell for a fresh one instantly. This means you can run at a full 8K poll all day without the fear of your "weapon" dying in the middle of a tournament.

Next-Gen Software Tools The experience is rounded out by the SteelSeries GG Suite, which features a suite of tools specifically designed for competitive aim. From Rotation Control and Adjustable Liftoff Distance to a built-in 3D Aim Trainer, these mice are positioned as serious tools for players competing in Counter-Strike 2, VALORANT, and Fortnite.
